Job summary

Placements24 client, a leading cybersecurity firm in Paarl, Western Cape, seeks a Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst to identify and report on evolving cyber threats and threat actors. You will collect data from diverse sources, analyze risk, and deliver insights to protect clients and internal defenses.

Responsibilities include developing threat profiles, supporting incident response, and refining threat modeling approaches while collaborating with security teams to operationalize intelligence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, IR, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of threat intelligence or cybersecurity analysis experience.
• Proven ability to collect, analyze, and disseminate threat intelligence.
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK and threat actor methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and interpret threat data from open-source, commercial feeds, and dark web.
• Identify and track threat actors, TTPs and campaigns.
• Develop threat profiles and intelligence reports for technical and leadership audiences.
• Provide actionable intelligence to support incident response and risk management.
• Collaborate with security teams to integrate threat intel into tools and processes.
• Monitor geopolitical and cyber threat developments.
• Contribute to predictive threat assessments.
• Automate data collection and analysis where feasible.
• Stay current with cyber threat trends and attacker behaviors.
