Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst specialized in Threat Intelligence to join our client in Midrand, Gauteng. You will collect, analyze, and disseminate threat intel to inform defensive actions and strategic decisions.

Responsibilities include developing reports, tracking threat actors and campaigns, mapping TTPs to MITRE ATT&CK, and supporting incident response with timely context. Hybrid work from Midrand with remote options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of cybersecurity experience with threat intelligence focus.
• Proven experience with threat intelligence platforms, OSINT tools and data analysis.
• Strong knowledge of cyber threat landscapes, attacker methodologies, and malware concepts.
• Excellent written communication and ability to translate data into actionable intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Collect, process, and analyze threat intelligence from open-source, commercial feeds, and government agencies.
• Develop intelligence reports, briefings, and alerts for technical teams and senior management.
• Identify and track threat actors, campaigns, and malware relevant to the industry.
• Map TTPs to MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Support incident response with timely threat context.
• Evaluate and recommend new threat intelligence tools and data sources.
• Contribute to proactive defense strategies based on intelligence insights.
• Build and maintain relationships with threat intelligence sharing communities.
