Placements24 is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst with a focus on Threat Intelligence in Kimberley, Northern Cape. The role involves collecting and analyzing threat data, producing actionable reports, and supporting incident response.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, International Relations, or related field.
• 2-4 years of cybersecurity experience with focus on threat intelligence analysis or security operations.
• Familiarity with threat intelligence platforms, data sources, and analytical methodologies.
• Understanding of common cyberattack frameworks and TTPs.
• Strong research, analytical, and written/verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with scripting or data analysis tools is a plus.
• Knowledge of geopolitical events impacting cybersecurity is advantageous.
• Ability to work effectively in an office-based environment in Kimberley.

Responsabilités

• Collect, process, and analyze threat intelligence data from internal and external sources (feeds, reports, dark web).
• Identify emerging cyber threats, attack vectors, and threat actor TTPs (Tactics, Techniques, Procedures).
• Develop and disseminate timely threat intelligence reports and alerts to stakeholders.
• Correlate threat intelligence with internal security data to identify compromised or targeted attacks.
• Support incident response activities by providing contextual information on threats.
• Maintain and enhance threat intelligence platforms and tools.
• Contribute to security metrics and reporting related to threat landscape evolution.
• Stay current with global cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and attacker trends.
• Build relationships with external threat intelligence communities and information sharing organizations.
