Placements24 seeks a proactive Information Security Analyst specializing in Threat Intelligence for its Port Elizabeth office. In this hybrid role, you will identify, analyze, and report on cyber threats and provide actionable intelligence to strengthen defensive measures while collaborating with security teams.

You will leverage OSINT, industry reports, and threat intel platforms to build threat profiles and inform incident response.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in threat intelligence, security operations, or related security role.
• Proficiency in analyzing threat data and understanding attacker methodologies.
• Experience with threat intelligence platforms and tools.
• Knowledge of geopolitical factors influencing cyber threats.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze threat intelligence feeds, OSINT, and industry reports.
• Identify emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and attacker trends relevant to the organization.
• Develop detailed threat profiles and reports on adversary TTPs.
• Provide timely and actionable intelligence to security operations and incident response teams.
• Support the development of defensive strategies based on threat intelligence.
• Conduct research on specific threat actors and campaigns.
