Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Threat Intelligence Analyst for its security team in Upington, Northern Cape. You will identify, analyze, and disseminate actionable threat intelligence to strengthen our defensive posture and protect the company’s online platform.

The role requires a hands-on investigator with strong analytical skills, experience in threat intelligence frameworks, and the ability to translate complex threats into clear guidance for technical and leadership audiences.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of threat intelligence or cybersecurity analysis experience.
• Experience collecting, analyzing, and reporting threat intelligence.
• Familiarity with threat intelligence frameworks and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and interpret threat intel from various sources.
• Identify, track, and report on threat actors, campaigns, and TTPs.
• Develop and maintain threat intel platforms and feeds.
• Produce timely intelligence reports for technical and senior audiences.
• Support incident response with context during attacks.
• Contribute to proactive defense strategies from findings.
• Research emerging cybersecurity threats and trends.
• Develop metrics to measure program effectiveness.
• Collaborate with internal security teams and external partners.
• Automate intelligence collection and analysis where possible.
