Placements24 seeks a skilled Telecoms Network Field Technician to join our team in Queenstown. Qualifications

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and test telecommunications equipment, including routers, switches, and modems.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues affecting network connectivity.
• Respond to service calls and customer requests in a timely and efficient manner.
• Adhere to safety regulations and company procedures during all field operations.
• Document all work performed, including installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in telecommunications or networking are a plus.
• 1-2 years of experience in a field service or technical support role within the telecommunications industry.
• Knowledge of basic networking concepts, including TCP/IP and Ethernet.
• Experience with hand tools and diagnostic equipment used in telecommunications installation and repair.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record are essential for travel in the Queenstown area.
