Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a diligent Telecom Network Operations Specialist to join our client’s Benoni team. You will monitor network health, respond to alerts, troubleshoot incidents and perform routine maintenance to ensure high availability.

The role requires a National Diploma in IT/Telecommunications and at least three years of network operations experience, plus familiarity with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and devices such as routers and firewalls.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or equivalent qualification in IT, Telecommunications, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in network operations or a similar technical support role.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls).
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Zabbix, PRTG, SolarWinds.
• Willingness to work shifts and participate in on-call schedule.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
