Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Telecom Network Operations Specialist to join a fully remote team. You will monitor, maintain, and optimize a robust network infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and security, responding to incidents and applying preventative measures.

The role expects 2–4 years in network operations, proficiency with Nagios, Zabbix or SolarWinds, TCP/IP and SNMP, and scripting (Python or Bash).

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in network operations or a similar technical role within the telecommunications industry.
• Proficiency in monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds) and network protocols (TCP/IP, SNMP).
• Hands-on experience with network hardware from major vendors.
• Familiarity with scripting (Python, Bash) for automation is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective remote collaboration.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
