About the Role

Our client is looking for a diligent and proactive Telecom Network Operations Center (NOC) Analyst to join their remote operations team, supporting services in Soweto and surrounding areas. This role is critical for monitoring the health and performance of our client's telecommunications network, ensuring the highest levels of service availability and reliability. You will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and responding to network incidents, working to restore services quickly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor network performance and availability using sophisticated monitoring tools and dashboards.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve network incidents and service disruptions in a timely manner.
• Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate engineering teams with detailed incident reports.
• Perform routine system checks and preventative maintenance tasks as required.
• Maintain accurate logs of all network events, actions taken, and resolutions.
• Follow established operational procedures and communication protocols during incident management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant IT or telecommunications certifications are a plus.
• 1-2 years of experience in a network monitoring or technical support role, preferably within telecommunications.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios) and concepts.
• Basic understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, routing, switching).
• Ability to work effectively in a remote, 24/7 operational environment, including shift work.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
