Placements24 is recruiting a Technical Recruiter to focus on IT and Engineering in Midrand. You will manage the full recruitment lifecycle, sourcing, screening, and coordinating interviews for technical roles while engaging with hiring managers to understand needs and culture.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in technical recruitment, strong ATS skills, and a solid grasp of Java, Python, C++, Cloud tech, and engineering disciplines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Technical Recruiter for IT and Engineering.
• Experience sourcing and screening for Java, Python, C++, Cloud, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering roles.
• Proficient with ATS and recruitment software/tools.
• Strong knowledge of the South African IT and Engineering job market.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to build rapport with candidates and hiring managers quickly.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, HR, or related field.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps is a plus.
• Must be able to work in Midrand office.
• Proactive, results-driven recruitment approach.

Responsibilities

• Partner with hiring managers to deeply understand staffing needs and culture.
• Source qualified candidates for IT and engineering roles (developers, engineers, data scientists, network admins, project managers).
• Utilize job boards, social networks, professional networks, and direct outreach.
• Screen resumes and conduct initial interviews to assess qualifications and fit.
• Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring teams.
• Provide timely feedback to candidates and hiring managers.
• Manage candidate pipelines and keep the ATS up to date.
• Develop understanding of the technology market and skill sets.
• Facilitate offers and onboarding; contribute to employer branding.
