Job summary

Sanlam Developing Markets is seeking a Branch Manager to grow customer base and revenue through strategic execution and team leadership in a retail mass context. You will guide sales consultants, oversee service delivery, and ensure compliance and risk management to enhance the client experience.

Experience: minimum 5 years in leadership within financial services, with credits in wealth management and CPD compliance. A strong focus on people management and stakeholder engagement is essential.

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12) is required.
• RE1 and RE5 certifications are required.
• 120 Wealth Management credits or a tertiary FSCA-recognised qualification.
• Class of Business accreditation (annual) required.
• Compliant with CPD current and past cycles.
• Minimum 5 years leadership experience in financial services.
• Service management, credit and lending experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Grow the customer base and revenue of Sanlam Retail Mass.
• Guide, integrate, and standardise activities of Sales Consultants to the strategy.
• Lead a service delivery culture for an optimal client experience.
• Oversee day-to-day branch operations and business planning.
• Ensure retail branch sales delivery and drive a service culture.
• Ensure compliance, quality, and risk management.
• Oversee HR-related people practices for direct reports in collaboration with HR.
• Monthly planning and reporting of sales and service activities in the Branch.
• Identify stakeholders and engage effectively to build relationships.
