Placements24 is recruiting a Director of Business Development in George, Western Cape. This executive will identify new opportunities, forge strategic alliances, and lead growth initiatives across financial services markets.

The role requires a seasoned leader with a deep market understanding, exceptional deal-making ability, and a track record of driving revenue growth in competitive environments.

Qualifications

• MBA or related master's degree in business, finance or marketing.
• 10–15 years of progressive BD or corporate strategy in financial services.
• Proven track record closing significant deals and alliances.
• Strong negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel and operate in the Western Cape region.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, alliances, and market penetration.
• Develop and execute comprehensive BD plans aligned with strategy.
• Build relationships with stakeholders, clients, partners and industry influencers.
• Lead negotiations for complex deals, mergers and partnerships.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to spot trends.
• Create proposals and business cases to secure ventures.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing and product teams for execution.
• Manage BD pipeline with forecasting and reporting.
• Represent the company at industry events and conferences.
• Drive revenue growth through strategic market expansion.
