Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an E-commerce Platform Manager to oversee the online storefront in Stellenbosch. You will own the platform roadmap, guide feature integrations, and collaborate with IT, marketing and product teams to deliver a scalable, secure and user-friendly experience.

The role requires strong leadership and hands-on experience with major platforms, APIs and agile processes to drive growth and efficiency across the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Business or related field.
• Extensive experience in e-commerce platform management with major platforms (Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Shopify Plus).
• Strong understanding of web development processes, APIs and system integrations.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations and strategic roadmap for the e-commerce platform.
• Oversee implementation of new features and upgrades with minimal user disruption.
• Collaborate with IT, marketing and product to define platform requirements.
• Monitor platform performance, uptime and security.
• Drive initiatives to improve usability, conversion rates and customer experience.
• Stay updated on e-commerce tech trends and opportunities for innovation.
