Job summary

Placements24 seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead the development and enhancement of an e-commerce platform for a leading online retailer. Based in Stellenbosch, Western Cape, the role offers hybrid work with in-office collaboration and remote flexibility.

You will manage the full lifecycle of ecommerce projects, drive UX improvements, ensure scalability and security, and coordinate cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of project management experience in ecommerce or digital product development.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and tools like Jira or Confluence.
• Strong knowledge of web technologies, ecommerce best practices, and UX principles.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience managing multiple projects in a hybrid environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, CS, Marketing or related field.
• Experience with platform migrations or major feature rollouts is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end lifecycle for ecommerce platform development initiatives.
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria with stakeholders.
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Lead cross-functional teams including developers, designers, QA, and marketing.
• Oversee feature implementations, enhancements, and integrations.
• Ensure performance, security, and usability standards.
• Manage risks, issues, and changes with timely resolution.
• Facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies and promote best practices.
• Provide regular status updates and stakeholder metrics.
