Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior E-commerce Operations Manager in Stellenbosch, Western Cape, to optimize the entire e-commerce supply chain—from inventory management to delivery. The role requires strategic process improvement and a track record of handling complex logistics within a growing online retailer.

The position offers a hybrid work arrangement with on-site collaboration and remote flexibility, and a focus on enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, and delivering outstanding

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in SCM, Logistics, Business Admin or related field.
• MBA or Master’s degree is a plus.
• Experience leading e-commerce operations and supply chain teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inventory, warehousing, order fulfillment and shipping.
• Develop strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and satisfy customers.
• Manage relationships with 3PLs and suppliers to meet SLAs.
• Implement inventory control to minimize stockouts/overstocks.
• Analyze data to identify bottlenecks and drive improvements.
• Lead and mentor the e-commerce ops team for high performance.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and industry best practices.
• Develop and manage operational budgets and identify savings.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and IT for aligned ops capabilities.
• Oversee customer service related to fulfillment and delivery.
