Job summary

Clicks Group Limited in Cape Town is seeking a Store Manager to lead daily operations at the point of sale, ensuring efficient service, stock accuracy and cash control. You will train and supervise shop assistants and cashiers, manage staff scheduling, resolve customer queries, and promote Clicks clubcard promotions while upholding company values and standards of service.

The role requires a Grade 12 with financial awareness, strong leadership, and a retail FMCG background.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with Maths and English (50%).
• Understanding of financial management principles.
• Retail/FMCG background preferred.
• Knowledge of stock, cost, risk and compliance management procedures.
• Knowledge of labour legislation and IR practices.

Responsibilities

• Direct and control all operational activities at the point of sale.
• Manage stock and cash, minimise shrinkage, maintain housekeeping.
• Train and motivate shop assistants and cashiers to deliver service excellence.
• Ensure staffing aligns with schedules, policies and labour legislation.
• Resolve customer queries in line with company policies.
• Promote Clicks clubcard to meet participation targets.
• Enforce stock security, cash controls and returns policies.
• Deliver friendly, professional service as a brand ambassador.
• Live company values to be the customer’s first choice health and beauty retailer.
• Keep updated knowledge on products, promotions and events.
