Job summary

Clicks Group Limited in Pretoria seeks an experienced Store Operations Manager to direct and control all POS activities, stock management, cash handling and housekeeping at the point of sale.

You will train shop assistants and cashiers, schedule staff, resolve customer queries, promote the Clicks Clubcard, enforce security and returns policies, and uphold the company’s standards and brand values by delivering excellent service.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with Maths and English 50% each.
• Knowledge of labour legislation and IR practices.
• Retail/FMCG background with merchandising and promotions knowledge.
• Understanding of stock, cost, risk and compliance.
• Customer service excellence.
• Competency based interviewing.

Responsibilities

• Direct and control all operational activities at the point of sale.
• Manage stock and cash, minimise shrinkage and maintain housekeeping.
• Train shop assistants and cashiers to be competent and motivated.
• Staffing in line with work schedules and policies.
• Resolve customer queries per company policies.
• Promote the Clicks Clubcard to meet targets.
• Enforce stock security, cash controls and returns policies.
• Deliver superior customer service as a brand ambassador.
• Support the group's vision to be the customer's first choice.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge on products, promotions and events.
