Cashbuild Limited in Mpumalanga seeks an Assistant Manager (External Applications Only) to protect and grow profitable market share within a store, aligned with company strategy and to lead the store team.

Requirements include Grade 12, 2 years of retail management, valid driver’s license, valid ID or work permit, strong accounting, leadership, admin, HR skills, and own transport and cell phone. Must work under pressure and be computer literate.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with at least 2 years retail management experience.
• Valid Driver's license.
• Valid ID or valid work permit (local).
• Strong accounting skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.

• Strong leadership skills.
• Strong administrative skills.
• Own transport and cell phone.
• Sound knowledge of Health and Safety aspects in line with local OHSA and/or neighbouring Countries legislation.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager to develop, implement and manage a Store Business Plan for the Store ensuring it is aligned with the overall Company strategy and strategic initiatives as approved by the Divisional Manager and Operations Manager from time to time.
• Grow and Protect Market Share: assist in achieving growth in market share as defined in the strategy plan and achieve sales budgets and growth objectives by Category.
• Customer Service: assist with implementing and monitoring the Customer Service strategy and maintain Customer Audits above 95%.
• Asset Control: Stock - assist manage shrinkage, PIC process, stock takes, and stock movement; End Control; IBTs; customer returns; receiving; and security improvements.
• Asset Control: Cash - assist manage Debtors and RD Cheques; Petty Cash; daily Banking; Shorts and overs; Cheques and Credit Cards.
• Asset Control: Fixed Assets - maintenance and protection of racking, signage, forklift, IT equipment, Safe.
• Human Resource Management - assist recruit and induct employees; ensure training and development; succession planning; manpower; CARE/CB communications; employee relations.
• Store Safety (OHSA) - manage safety aspects; complete checklists; appoint safety reps; record incidents.
• Store Trading Standards - maintain housekeeping, merchandising, planograms; yard and parking standards.
• Profitability - assist achieve operating income budget and adhere to financial model and budgets.
• CB Way - implement audits, controls, and corrective actions.
• Leadership and personal development items: lead, inspire, take responsibility, delegate, manage under pressure, market orientation, integrity, accuracy, client focus, personal development.
