Job summary

Cashbuild Limited is hiring an Assistant Manager (External Applications Only) for Mutale. You will protect and grow market share, lead store operations, and ensure strong administration and HR practices.

Applicants must have Grade 12, 2+ years of retail management, a valid license, and strong accounting skills. The role requires leadership under pressure, basic computer literacy, and own transport. Health & safety compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with at least 2 years retail management experience
• Valid Driver's license
• Valid ID or valid work permit (local)
• Must have strong accounting skills
• Must be able to work under pressure
• Must be computer literate (Basic computer literacy)
• Must have strong leadership skills
• Must have strong administrative skills
• Must have own transport and cell phone
• Sound knowledge of Health and Safety aspects in line with local OHSA and/or neighbouring Countries legislation
• Must have strong Human Resources skills

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager to develop, implement and manage a Store Business Plan aligned with Company strategy
• Grow and protect market share and assist in achieving sales budgets by category
• Promote customer loyalty programmes and ensure effective advertising material distribution
• Develop action plans to protect market when competitors enter the market
• Support Customer Service strategy and maintain customer audits above 95%
• Assist with stock control, shrinkage reduction, PIC process and stock takes
• Assist in managing cash, debits, petty cash and daily banking
• Oversee HR processes: recruitment, training, succession planning, employee relations
• Ensure OHSA safety compliance and incident recording
