Job summary

Cashbuild Limited is hiring a General Assistant for External Applications at the Southgate store in Gauteng. You will deliver customer service, assist customers with product queries, and ensure shelves are correctly labelled and merchandised according to the store layout.

You must be able to work shifts, weekends, and holidays, with good English communication. Basic maths and accuracy are essential, and you will help maintain a clean, safe shopping area across your designated zone.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 10 or NQF 3 with 1 year related experience.
• Grade 12 without related work experience acceptable.
• Able to communicate in English and local dominant language.
• Valid SA ID or work permit.
• Able to perform basic calculations accurately.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Capable of working under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive customer service in store.
• Merchandise stock and ensure correct shelf price labelling.
• Maintain housekeeping within assigned area.
• Advise and assist customers on products and queries.
• Resolve customer complaints and ensure store layout plan is followed.
• Keep area free of obstacles and ensure safe entry/exit for customers.
