Job summary

Cashbuild Limited in Heidedal, Bloemfontein, is seeking a General Assistant (External Applications Only - Heidedal) to deliver in-store customer service, merchandize stock, and manage shelf labelling and housekeeping within the designated area. Responsibilities include advising customers, resolving complaints, ensuring layout and planograms, and maintaining safe, obstacle-free aisles.

A shift-work requirement applies; English and local language communication, basic calculations, and SA ID/work

Qualifications

Minimum Grade 10 or NQF 3 with 1 year related experience.
Grade 12 with no related work experience.
Ability to communicate in English and the dominant language of the area.
Valid South African ID or work permit.
Ability to perform basic calculations accurately.
Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
Must be able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

Advise and assist Customers on correct products and queries.
Assist with and resolve Customer complaints.
Bulk stock area to be merchandised safely and according to Store layout plan.
Ensure area is fully merchandised according to Store layout and planograms.
Keep area free of obstacles and ensure safe aisle flow for customers.
Correct shelf price labelling within area of responsibility.
Complete required checklists when on duty with Canteen and Toilet/Showers schedule.
Maintain OHSA safety compliance within area of responsibility.
Report discrepancies and damaged stock to Store Manager.
