Job summary

Cashbuild Limited is seeking a General Assistant (External Applications Only) to deliver comprehensive customer service in-store and assist with stock merchandising, price labelling, and housekeeping within a designated area. The role requires basic math skills, English and local language communication, and willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Successful applicants should have Grade 10 or Grade 12, with or without related experience, and valid SA ID or work permit.

Qualifications

Minimum Grade 10 or NQF 3 with 1 year related work experience.
Grade 12 without related work experience.
Ability to communicate in English and the dominant local language.
Valid South African ID or work permit.
Ability to perform basic calculations accurately.
Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
Able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

Advise and assist Customers on correct products and queries.
Assist with and resolve Customer complaints.
Bulk stock area to be merchandised safely and according to Store layout plan.
Ensure area is fully merchandised according to Store layout and planograms.
Ensure area free of obstacles and accessible for customers entering and leaving the aisle.
Correct shelf price labelling within area of responsibility.
Complete checklist during duty with canteen and toilet/shower schedule.
OHSA safety compliance in area.
Stock merchandised safely for customers and colleagues.
Report discrepancies to Store Manager.
Report damaged stock within area of responsibility to Store Manager.
