Job summary

Foreshore Cape Town invites applications for a Stock Controller/Receiver with 3–4 years of experience from Hospitality, Retail or FMCG. You will manage inventory, ensure accurate receipt, storage and distribution of goods, and support continuous supply chain operations.

Salary is negotiable. The role requires Matric and 2–3 years in a similar hospitality-based stock control position, with strong analytical and team-working skills and high integrity.

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent.
• 2-3 years experience in stock control in hospitality/retail/FMCG.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Physical stamina and ability to handle goods.
• High integrity and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels in line with operational requirements.
• Conduct regular stock counts and participate in stock takes.
• Investigate, reconcile, and report stock variances and discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of stock movements (receipts, issues, transfers, adjustments).
• Receive, unload, and inspect incoming stock deliveries.
• Verify quantities and quality against purchase orders and delivery documents.
• Process Goods Received Vouchers (GRVs) accurately and promptly.
• Report shortages, damages, or discrepancies immediately.
• Ensure received stock is documented, labelled, and allocated to storage locations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area in line with health and safety requirements.
