Job summary

The President Hotel in Cape Town is seeking a hands-on Stock Controller/Store Controller to manage receiving, controlling, storing and issuing stock while upholding HACCP, safety and sustainability standards. You will work closely with Procurement, Kitchen, Housekeeping and Maintenance to ensure accurate stock records, timely stock counts and efficient stock handling in a busy hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in hospitality stores, warehouse, receiving or food service logistics environment.
• HACCP knowledge and exposure highly advantageous.
• Experience working with stock control systems and digital record keeping.
• Strong understanding of FIFO, stock rotation and inventory control principles.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect and verify all deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Identify and report discrepancies, shortages, damages, or quality concerns.
• Store goods correctly and maintain organised storage areas.
• Conduct temperature checks for dry stores, fridges and freezers and follow HACCP procedures.
• Maintain accurate stock records and participate in stock takes.
• Work with Procurement, Kitchen, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping and Maintenance teams to issue stock efficiently.
