Job summary

The Empact Group is seeking an experienced stock controller to administer and control stock across the stores in Pretoria. You will liaise directly with suppliers and staff and supervise the store associate to ensure accurate stock levels and timely deliveries.

Responsibilities include placing orders, checking prices against invoices, weighing and issuing stock to departments, managing fridge/storeroom and enforcing strict stock controls. Weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Matric and Logistics qualification advantageous
• 2 Years of work experience
• Experience in hospitality environment preferred but training provided
• Systems and supervisory experience advantageous
• A valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Place orders and liaise with suppliers upon approval of Project/Assistant Catering Manager
• Ensure prices and quantity match order sheet and invoice
• Issue stock/groceries to all external departments
• Weigh all food products issued to staff for production
• Manage stock ratio in line with budget on min/max level, assist in weekly and monthly stocktake
• Complete all HSE records correctly and timeously
• Supervise storeroom/fridge/freezer; ensure it is locked and clean
• Check goods entering stores for quality, data sheets, and labeling
• Receive stock from suppliers and ensure order accuracy
• Occasional weekend work may be required
• Store stock after each mealtime service
• Quality checks on all food products
• Implement strict fridge/freezer and storeroom controls
• Collaborate with project/assistant Catering Manager and Supervisors
