About the Role

Our client, an exclusive boutique hotel situated in the scenic Winelands of Paarl, Western Cape, is seeking an experienced and passionate Spa and Wellness Director. This role is responsible for the overall management and strategic development of the hotel's luxury spa and wellness facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of spa operations, treatments, and the wellness industry, coupled with strong leadership and business acumen. You will be tasked with enhancing the guest experience, driving revenue, managing staff, and maintaining the highest standards of service and professionalism. This is a unique opportunity to curate and elevate a serene sanctuary, promoting holistic well-being for guests and contributing to the hotel's reputation for excellence. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of spa and wellness operations, including treatment scheduling, retail, and facility maintenance.
• Develop and implement innovative spa and wellness programs, treatment protocols, and retail offerings.
• Manage spa staff, including therapists, receptionists, and fitness instructors, providing training and performance management.
• Ensure the highest standards of guest service and satisfaction are consistently delivered.
• Manage the spa's budget, control costs, and drive revenue growth through service and retail sales.
• Develop and execute marketing strategies to attract and retain clientele.
• Maintain impeccable cleanliness and presentation of all spa and wellness areas.
• Source and manage relationships with spa product and equipment suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and professional standards.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and innovations in spa and wellness.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in spa management, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort setting.
• Proven track record in operational management, financial control, and staff leadership.
• Extensive knowledge of diverse spa treatments, therapies, and wellness modalities.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Experience with spa management software and POS systems.
• Passion for health, wellness, and creating a tranquil guest experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some weekends, to support operations in Paarl, Western Cape.
• Relevant certification in spa therapy or wellness management is advantageous.
• Business or marketing acumen with a focus on revenue generation.
