Placements24 is seeking a reliable Tour Guide Coordinator to join our growing tourism operation in Soweto, Gauteng. On-site role requiring strong organizational and people skills to keep daily tours running smoothly.

You will coordinate a team of freelance and employed guides, manage bookings and schedules, confirm tour details, and ensure compliance with health, safety and regulatory requirements. Customer inquiries and on-site logistics are part of the role.

Formación

• Minimum 2 years in coordination, scheduling, or operations, preferably in tourism or hospitality.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Interest and knowledge of South African history and culture.
• Proficiency with scheduling software and standard office tools.
• Based in or willing to travel to Soweto, Gauteng.
• Legal eligibility to work in South Africa.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate daily tour schedules for freelance and employed guides.
• Manage tour bookings and allocate guides based on availability and expertise.
• Confirm tour details, timings and special requirements with guides.
• Arrange permits, vehicle bookings, and site bookings for tours.
• Serve as primary contact for customer inquiries on tour logistics.
• Keep records of tours, guide hours, and customer feedback.
• Assist recruitment and onboarding of new guides.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and tourism regulations.
• Handle minor tour issues and communicate with management to improve operations.
