Job summary

Dante Personnel Recruitment (Pty) Ltd is seeking a Shipping and Logistics Clerk / Coordinator in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. The role entails full responsibility for running the shipping department, including bookings, documentation, customs, loading, shipping, arrival and delivery.

The ideal candidate has Matric and about 3 years of import/export experience, with knowledge of SA customs procedures and related documents. A valid driver’s license and own transport are required.

Qualifications

• Matric is required.
• Qualification in Logistics or related field advantageous.
• 3 years’ experience in import/export shipping and logistics.
• Experience with South African customs procedures and SARS entries.
• Experience handling shipping documents (DA 550, EUR.1, invoices, packing lists, origin certificates).
• Experience with shipping lines, freight forwarders and transporters.
• Capable of full process: booking, documentation, customs, loading, shipping, delivery.
• Valid driver’s license and own transport.

Shipping and Logistics Clerk / Coordinator
Durban, KwaZulu-Natal
R 20 000 - R 25 000 CTC Per Month
A well-established international trading company is looking for an experienced Shipping and Logistics Clerk / Coordinator to take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of their shipping department.

Minimum requirements:

• Matric
• A relevant qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Shipping, Freight Forwarding or a related field will be advantageous
• 3 Years’ experience in import/export shipping and logistics
• Experience with South African customs procedures and SARS customs entries
• Practical experience with DA 550, EUR.1, invoices, packing lists and certificates of origin
• Experience dealing with shipping lines, freight forwarders and transporters
• Experience coordinating container collections, loading, shipping and delivery
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and meet strict deadlines
• The successful candidate must be capable of managing the full process independently, from booking, documentation, customs, loading, shipping, arrival and delivery
• Valid drivers license plus own reliable transportation
