Job summary

Clicks Group Limited is seeking a Service Advisor at a Clicks store to ensure excellent service at the point of sale and to manage operational activities efficiently. You will direct stock and cash handling, train staff, and resolve customer queries in line with company policies.

The role requires likely experience in retail FMCG, strong numeracy, and a proactive, customer-oriented approach to maintain high standards and store performance.

Qualifications

• Desirable: Maths and English at grade 12 level (50%)
• 1 year of experience in a customer-facing role, supervising staff in retail/FMCG store operations
• Numeracy and stock management experience
• Knowledge of stock, cost, risk and compliance management procedures
• Knowledge of customer service excellence
• Knowledge of labour legislation and IR practices

Responsibilities

• Direct and control all store operational activities at the point of sale in a timely and efficient manner.
• Manage stock, cash, and housekeeping to minimise shrinkage and maintain administrative standards.
• Train, motivate and direct shop assistants/cashiers to deliver service excellence.
• Ensure adequate staffing aligned with work schedules and policies.
• Resolve customer queries promptly per company policies.
• Promote Clicks Clubcard to meet participation targets.
• Enforce security, cash controls and returns policies to minimise losses.
• Represent the brand through visible, friendly, and professional service.
