Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Well Intervention Specialist to support operations in the Paarl region within the Oil & Gas sector. You will plan, execute, and supervise intervention programs, collaborating with reservoir and production engineers to maximize asset performance.

The role requires 5+ years in well interventions, strong knowledge of fishing, logging, stimulation, and P&A, plus experience with coiled tubing and wireline services. Safety awareness is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in well intervention or related field operations within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Strong knowledge of various intervention techniques such as fishing, logging, stimulation, and P&A.
• Experience with coiled tubing operations and wireline services.
• Familiarity with relevant safety standards and procedures (e.g., H2S awareness).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design well intervention programs, including wireline operations , coiled tubing, and pumping services.
• Supervise the execution of intervention operations, ensuring safety and efficiency targets are met.
• Assess well conditions and perform diagnostics to identify production issues or integrity concerns.
• Manage the selection and deployment of appropriate intervention equipment and personnel.
• Analyze operational data and provide recommendations for future intervention strategies.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and company procedures during all intervention activities.
