Job summary

Placements24 is assisting a leading Oil & Gas operator in recruiting a Senior Production Engineer for their site in Klerksdorp. You will optimize hydrocarbon production, manage well performance, and implement artificial lift techniques within a strict safety framework.

Responsibilities include monitoring data, designing lift systems, troubleshooting field issues, and conducting economic evaluations for enhancements and new wells. You will also drive workovers and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in production engineering within Oil & Gas.
• Proven expertise in artificial lift technologies and production optimization.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze well performance data to identify opportunities for production optimization.
• Design, implement, and manage artificial lift systems (e.g., ESPs, rod pumps, gas lift).
• Troubleshoot production issues, including flow assurance problems, equipment failures, and inefficiencies.
• Conduct economic evaluations for production enhancement projects and new well completions.
• Develop and execute workover and stimulation programs to maintain and improve production rates.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
