Placements24 is seeking a Senior Well Operations Engineer for a key role based in Klerksdorp, South Africa. The position focuses on safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of drilling, completions, and interventions within the Oil & Gas sector.

The candidate will oversee operational planning, risk management, and execution of complex well programs, leading technical teams and ensuring regulatory and HSEQ compliance in the North West province.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Petroleum Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 9 years of hands-on well operations experience.
• Expertise in drilling, completions, well control, and intervention techniques.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and execute drilling, completion, and workover operations.
• Develop detailed well programs, risk assessments, and contingency plans.
• Supervise rig site activities and ensure HSEQ compliance.
• Manage operational budgets and provide mentorship to field personnel.
