Placements24 is seeking a Water Resources Engineer for Mossel Bay, Western Cape. You will develop water supply, treatment and distribution systems, model hydraulics, and manage municipal water projects with emphasis on water security and sustainability.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree with a water resources focus, professional registration, and 7+ years’ relevant experience, including design and project management for municipal systems.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with water resources specialization.
• Professional registration with ECSA (Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng).
• 7+ years in water resources engineering with municipal water/wastewater project experience.
• Proficient in hydraulic modeling tools and design software.
• Strong analytical, reporting and communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Conduct feasibility studies and detailed design for water supply schemes.
• Develop hydraulic models to optimize water system performance.
• Assess water resource availability, demand management and drought plans.
• Design and manage wastewater collection and treatment systems.
• Prepare technical reports, specs and tender documents.
• Oversee construction and commissioning of water infrastructure.
• Engage with municipal authorities and stakeholders on water matters.
• Provide advice on water conservation and IWRM.
• Stay updated with SA water legislation relevant to Mossel Bay.
