Job summary

Placements24 in Mossel Bay is seeking a dedicated Water Resource Engineer to join a progressive team responsible for planning, design, and management of municipal water supply, wastewater treatment, and stormwater systems.

You will contribute to sustainable water management, work on meaningful projects that benefit public health and the environment, and collaborate with regulatory agencies, with a hybrid work setup offering office and remote flexibility in the Western Cape.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or equivalently accredited program.
• Master's degree in water resources is preferred.
• 7+ years of related experience in water and wastewater engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual and detailed designs for water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Conduct hydraulic modeling and analysis for water distribution networks and sewer systems.
• Prepare feasibility studies and technical reports for water resource projects.
• Oversee construction and commissioning of water and sanitation projects.
• Collaborate with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with water quality standards.
