Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Water Resources or Environmental Engineering.
• Professional registration with ECSA as a Pr Eng is mandatory.
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in water resources engineering, with proven project management capabilities.
• Expertise in hydrological and hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, EPANET, SWMM).
• Strong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes, pipeline design, and stormwater management.
• Experience with South African water sector policies and regulations is essential.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage project teams and foster collaborative working relationships.
• Familiarity with projects in the Pretoria and wider Gauteng region is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Lead the design and analysis of water and wastewater systems, including treatment plants, pipelines, and pumping stations.
• Perform hydrological and hydraulic modeling to assess water resource availability, flood risks, and water quality.
• Conduct feasibility studies, environmental impact assessments, and master planning for water infrastructure projects.
• Develop detailed engineering designs, specifications, and construction drawings for water-related infrastructure.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and client relationships, ensuring successful project delivery.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including environmental scientists, geologists, and structural engineers.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Ensure compliance with South African national standards, municipal regulations, and environmental legislation.
• Contribute to the development of proposals and secure new projects.
