Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer to lead planning, design, and delivery of water infrastructure projects in Pretoria and surrounding Gauteng regions. You will drive hydrological and hydraulic modeling, ensure regulatory compliance, and mentor junior staff.

The role requires a strong track record in water resources, project leadership, and experience with HEC-RAS, EPANET, and SWMM. A Pr. Eng registration with ECSA is expected, with travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with a water resources specialization.
• Master's degree is highly preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in water resource engineering with leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and implementation of water resource management projects.
• Develop hydrological and hydraulic models for flood studies and water supply analyses.
• Prepare design reports, specifications, drawings, and tender documents.
• Oversee construction supervision and quality control for water projects.
• Mentor junior engineers and manage project teams.
