Placements24 is seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer to lead design, planning and implementation of water and wastewater projects in Klerksdorp, North West. The role emphasizes hydraulic modeling, project leadership, and compliance with South African water quality standards.

The successful candidate will manage complex municipal and industrial assignments, provide technical guidance, and collaborate with clients and regulators to ensure reliable water security and sustainable outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of water supply systems, wastewater treatment plants, and related infrastructure.
• Conduct hydraulic modeling and analysis for distribution networks and sewer systems.
• Prepare technical designs, specifications, tender documents and construction plans.
• Manage water resources projects from inception to completion, meeting budgets and timelines.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff.
• Liaise with clients, regulators, contractors and stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.
• Assess environmental impacts and develop mitigation strategies.
