Placements24 seeks a Senior Telecom Systems Administrator to join the Stellenbosch-based technical operations team. You will manage, optimize, and secure voice and data telecom infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.

The role covers system upgrades, troubleshooting complex issues, and collaborating with IT to integrate telecom solutions with business systems. Hybrid work model and opportunities for advanced training are available.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in IT/CS or related field.
5+ years of experience as Telecom Systems Administrator.
Strong knowledge of VoIP, SIP protocols, and telecom hardware/software.
Experience with network infrastructure and security principles.
Proven ability to troubleshoot complex telecom issues.

Responsibilities

Administer and maintain voice and data communication systems, including PBX, VoIP, and mobile platforms.
Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement preventative measures.
Perform regular updates, patches, and security configurations.
Respond to and resolve telecom support tickets.
Develop and maintain system documentation, procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
Collaborate with IT teams to integrate telecom solutions with other business systems.
