Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Telecom Network Operations Manager to oversee the NOC in Mossel Bay. You will lead a team of engineers and technicians, directing operations to ensure continuous availability, performance and security of the telecom network.

You will drive operational excellence, implement strategic improvements, and manage capacity planning in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment with a hybrid work setup in Mossel Bay.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 5-7 years in network operations with at least 2 years in a management/lead role.
• Strong understanding of telecom network technologies, protocols and infrastructure.
• Experience with monitoring and incident management systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the network operations team to foster high performance.
• Oversee day-to-day network operations including monitoring, incidents, and resolution.
• Develop and implement strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize performance and reliability.
• Manage capacity planning and ensure adequate resources to meet demand.
• Collaborate across engineering, IT and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
