Placements24 seeks a Senior Telecoms Operations Manager to lead a remote-based operations team across South Africa. You will oversee network performance, incident response, and continuous improvement, shaping strategies and ensuring service reliability.

You will manage a distributed group of engineers and support staff, collaborate with vendors, and drive efficiency in a fully remote environment from anywhere in SA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
• 8+ years in telecom operations with leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize performance and reliability of telecom network infrastructure.
• Lead and mentor a remote team of engineers and support staff.
• Develop and implement operational policies, procedures and best practices.
• Oversee incident management, root cause analysis and problem resolution.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance network efficiency and service quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on capacity planning and deployments.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure SLAs are met.
