Placements24 is seeking an experienced Telecom Operations Manager to oversee queenstown-based network operations, lead a technical team, and drive service quality and efficiency. The role requires strategic oversight of budgets, processes, and compliance to ensure reliable telecommunications infrastructure.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in network operations, IT service management, and leadership, delivering high availability and customer satisfaction in a regional hub.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in telecommunications operations with at least 3 years in a management role.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, or related field.
• Strong leadership and strategic planning abilities.
• ITIL knowledge and IT service management practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of network engineers, technicians, and support staff.
• Oversee day-to-day telecom network operations for high availability and performance.
• Develop and enforce operational policies, SLAs, and budgets.
• Coordinate with engineering, sales, and customer service to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Manage incident, problem, and change management processes.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
