Placements24 is recruiting a Principal Technical Recruiter for a fully remote, South Africa–based role, focusing on attracting top engineers, data scientists, cybersecurity experts, and cloud specialists for a global client network.

You will lead end-to-end recruitment, build long-term client relationships, mentor junior recruiters, and stay ahead of tech trends to anticipate hiring needs in a remote-first setup.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of dedicated experience in technical recruitment.
• Experience recruiting for niche and senior-level tech roles.
• Strong knowledge of programming languages, software development methodologies, and IT infrastructure.
• Proven ability to build and manage large talent pipelines for technical roles.
• Excellent remote communication and stakeholder management.
• Proficiency with modern ATS and recruitment technologies.
• Able to thrive in an autonomous, fully remote work environment.
• Strong network within the technical community is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead recruitment for highly specialized technical roles (software, data, cybersecurity, cloud).
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies to attract passive and active candidates.
• Build relationships with clients and advise on technical talent acquisition.
• Conduct in-depth technical interviews and assessments.
• Manage end-to-end recruitment pipeline from sourcing to offer.
• Collaborate with hiring managers to understand requirements and team dynamics.
• Mentor junior recruitment team members and share best practices.
• Stay updated on technologies and market trends to anticipate needs.
• Contribute to process and tool improvements in a remote setting.
