Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Lead Talent Acquisition Specialist to drive end-to-end recruitment for senior tech roles in a remote-capable environment across South Africa. You will mentor junior recruiters, partner with leaders, and shape talent strategies to deliver exceptional candidate and client experiences.

The role requires 7+ years in talent acquisition with a strong tech focus, plus expertise in ATS/CRM and sourcing tools. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in talent acquisition with a strong focus on technical recruitment.
• Proven track record leading recruitment projects and/or teams.
• Experience sourcing niche tech talent (AI/ML, Cybersecurity, Cloud Engineering, DevOps).
• Strong understanding of recruitment technologies including ATS/CRM and sourcing tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end recruitment for complex and senior technical roles across industries.
• Develop and implement innovative sourcing strategies to attract passive and active candidates.
• Partner with hiring managers and senior leadership to define talent needs and recruitment plans.
• Oversee candidate experience from application to onboarding.
• Mentor junior recruiters and provide training and feedback.
• Analyze recruitment data to identify trends and drive improvements.
• Build strong relationships with clients, hiring managers, and candidates.
• Stay updated on market trends and emerging technologies to provide strategic insights.
• Contribute to employer branding and talent community development.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
