About the Role

Our client, a progressive retail organization, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Retail Operations Specialist to join their team in Pretoria, Gauteng . This role is integral to ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of our retail outlets, focusing on optimizing operational processes, implementing best practices, and supporting store teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, a deep understanding of retail operational challenges, and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives. You will work closely with store managers and regional teams to enhance operational effectiveness, ensure compliance, and support the delivery of exceptional customer experiences across the Pretoria region and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and improve existing retail operational processes, identifying inefficiencies and recommending solutions.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for various retail functions, ensuring consistency across stores.
• Provide operational support and guidance to store managers and staff, troubleshooting issues and facilitating problem-solving.

• Contribute to the training and onboarding process for new store staff concerning operational procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in retail operations, store management, or a related field.
• Proven ability to analyze complex operational data and develop practical solutions.
• Strong understanding of retail store operations, including inventory, POS systems, and loss prevention.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Experience with retail management software is highly desirable.
• A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field is a plus.
