Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Retail Operations Manager to lead our Soweto-based retail operations in Gauteng. You will optimize inventory, supply chain logistics, and store performance while driving profitability and exceptional customer service across multiple outlets.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in retail operations with strong analytical skills, a track record in implementing operational strategies, and capability to lead diverse teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
• MBA is a plus and highly regarded.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in retail operations management or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day retail operations across Soweto and surrounding Gauteng regions.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
• Manage inventory levels, supply chain logistics, and distribution processes to maximize availability.
• Set and monitor KPIs for store operations and performance against targets.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of store managers and operational staff.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, health and safety regulations.
• Analyze data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with marketing, sales, and finance to achieve business objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across retail operations.
