Placements24 is seeking a proactive Store Operations Lead to manage the day-to-day operational efficiency of their Soweto retail store. You will oversee inventory management, stock control, merchandising, and staff support, ensuring high standards of store presentation and stock availability.

The ideal candidate will have solid retail operations experience, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities while upholding company standards and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in retail operations, stock management, or a similar role.
• Strong inventory control, visual merchandising, and loss prevention techniques.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in using POS systems and basic computer applications.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weight, and handle stock tasks.
• Residing in or willing to commute to the Soweto area.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing daily store operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to company standards.
• Managing inventory levels, stock counts, and timely replenishment.
• Implementing and maintaining visual merchandising guidelines to present products attractively.
• Assisting with staff scheduling, training, and operational support to the team.
• Monitoring stock integrity, loss-prevention measures, and stock takes.
• Ensuring the store is clean, organized, and safe for staff and customers.
• Processing incoming and outgoing stock with accurate records.
• Troubleshooting operational issues and escalating complex problems to management.
• Supporting the Store Manager in achieving operational KPIs.
• Maintaining accurate records of operational activities and stock movements.
