Placements24 is seeking an experienced Retail Operations Manager to oversee flagship store operations in Johannesburg, Gauteng. This role focuses on operational excellence, profitability, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

You will lead a team of store managers, optimise inventory, implement visual merchandising standards, and drive sales performance in a fast-paced fashion environment within the city center.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in retail management.
• Experience managing multiple locations and driving sales growth.
• Strong leadership abilities with experience coaching and developing teams.
• Knowledge of retail merchandising, inventory management, and P&L analysis.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Based in Johannesburg and willing to work weekends/evenings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of multiple retail stores.
• Develop and implement plans to hit sales targets and drive foot traffic.
• Manage inventory levels, stock control, and loss prevention initiatives.
• Lead, train, and motivate store teams to deliver customer service and achieve goals.
• Implement and maintain visual merchandising standards.
• Analyze sales data, customer feedback, and market trends for improvements.
• Manage store budgets, P&L statements, and operational expenses.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security regulations.
