Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Lead Remote Event Planner & Coordinator to join its entirely remote team in South Africa. You will design, plan and execute seamless virtual and hybrid events for a diverse client base, managing multiple projects from concept development to on-the-day execution.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, tech-savvy, and capable of vendor negotiation, budget oversight and post-event reporting, with at least five years in event planning and two in virtual or

Qualifications

• 5+ years of comprehensive experience in event planning and coordination (virtual or hybrid preferred).
• Proven ability to manage complex projects remotely.
• Experience with multiple virtual platforms and event management software.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of virtual and hybrid events (webinars, conferences, product launches, team-building).
• Develop event concepts, themes and agendas with clients and stakeholders.
• Manage budgets and vendor relationships to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.
• Coordinate all logistical aspects including speaker management and content delivery.
• Provide on-site (virtual) support during events and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Conduct post-event analysis and reporting on KPIs.
• Mentor junior coordinators within the remote team.
• Stay updated on trends in virtual and hybrid event planning.
