Job summary

Placements24 seeks a highly skilled Remote Electrical Engineer specializing in Power Systems to join a global engineering team. This fully remote role focuses on design, analysis, and optimization of power generation, transmission, and distribution systems from anywhere.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s/PhD in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of experience, proficient in PSS/E, ETAP, PSCAD, and strong grid integration knowledge for renewable energy and protection schemes.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Power Systems.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in power system engineering, design, and analysis.
• Proficiency in power system analysis software (e.g., PSS/E, ETAP, PSCAD).
• In-depth knowledge of grid integration, renewable energy systems, and protection schemes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, model, and analyze electrical power systems, including generation, transmission, and distribution networks.
• Develop P&ID diagrams, single-line diagrams, and electrical schematics for power infrastructure projects.
• Perform load flow, short circuit, and stability studies using industry-standard software.
• Ensure designs comply with all relevant electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, civil engineers, and other stakeholders in a remote setting.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and documentation for project deliverables.
