Placements24 is seeking a specialized Electrical Power Engineer to join our team on a fully remote basis. You will design, analyze, and optimize power systems including transmission, distribution, and generation infrastructure to ensure reliable and efficient power delivery.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience, a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems), and proficiency with ETAP or PSS/E.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Systems.
- 5+ years of experience in electrical power engineering.
- Proficiency with ETAP, PSS/E, or equivalent software.
- Strong knowledge of power system dynamics, protection relays, and substations.
- Ability to work remotely and manage projects autonomously.
- Excellent technical report writing and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform power system studies including load flow, short circuit, stability, and protection coordination.
- Design and specify electrical equipment for power generation, transmission, and distribution substations.
- Develop protection schemes and settings for various power system applications.
- Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments for new power projects.
- Collaborate with utilities and regulators on power system integration.
- Ensure designs comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
